The goalie said she twinged her knee with 30 seconds to go against Kolora-Noorat the previous week.

"I didn't actually train during the week but I was never missing this game," she said.

"A couple of twists and knocks today I think might have completely done whatever I'd started last week.

"Fingers crossed it's not as bad as I think it is.

"If it's as bad as it feels right now I might be in a bit of trouble."

Davis, a paramedic, said the injury was likely related to her muscles and ligaments.

"I'll go to the physio hopefully Monday and we'll go from there," she said.

The sixth-ranked Lions, who are still in the finals hunt, desperately need their assistant coach on court.

Davis has shot 369 goals this season which is the fourth most in the A grade competition.

The Lions, fighting with Timboon Demons for fifth-spot, have Merrivale on Saturday in a match that could decide their fate.

The other big take-away from the South Rovers, Nirranda clash was that 15-year-old goal shooter Montana Wallace was stunning in her first full match for the Blues.

Coach Steph Townsend was impressed with the youngster who shot 18 goals.

"She was superb," she said.

"I thought she started slow but once she started to put her shots up, she gained confidence and it was really good to see.

"Hopefully she can stick around in years to come and be a powerhouse for us."

One of league's best defenders Cloe Marr missed the match with vertigo.

Meanwhile, it was a great day for East Warrnambool which beat Russells Creek by four goals.

It was the first time in a long time the Bombers' football and netball team won on the same day.

Earlier this month, coach Donna Chatfield came back from her team's two-week break with a fresh mindset.

She decided she was going to give all of her 10-player squad a run in the A grade.

The plan has worked a treat with two wins on the trot.

"I've managed to play each of them and they've all done their done part and we've come out with two wins," she said.

Chatfield said the move came on the back of wanting to inject more happiness and fun into her team.

"It's the best thing I've done actually," she said.

Leah Sinnott said her Timboon Demons won ugly against Panmure.

The Dees went in without goal keeper Emily Jansen Van Beek and were forced to change their line-up.

Dennington won comfortably against Kolora-Noorat.

Josie Bolden said her team put in a solid four-quarter effort which it will take great confidence from.

Bolden also praised the Power's young Lily Baker, a 15 and under player, who played goal shooter in the second half.
