The Roosters, who sit one game outside the top five with six rounds remaining, host a Portland side coming off its first win of the season.
"It's a bit of a shock this season with the mixed bag of results," Dwyer said.
"Teams which look guaranteed wins in certain games end up losing; anything can happen.
"We have to win the rest of the season to make finals so there is a lot of pressure on us. We're nervous but we're getting better and better each week."

Windy conditions are expected to impact play at Friendly Societies' Park.
"We'll need short passes, no long bombs and we'll have to work it around a lot more and take our time shooting in the ring," Dwyer said.
"We'll have to be careful with the ball because the weather takes a toll on the quality of the game."
Dwyer is providing experience in the Roosters' goal circle and expects their attack to build over the next six weeks.
"We've got new combos in and it's a lot to get used to with young guns in the team," she said.
"We need a little bit more time to gel and I think we'll be really strong in the future."
