Saints coach Chris McLaren said Couch would miss between four and six weeks with broken ribs and bruised kidneys while Hausler would be sidelined for several weeks with a groin injury.

The pair will miss the Saints' top-three clash against Warrnambool at Reid Oval on Saturday.

But there was some promising news at the selection table with utility Damian O'Connor (hamstring) returning after a long layoff.

Koroit also brought in Sam Dobson (representative duties) and Matt Hausler, brother of Jeremy, to play the Blues.

"We're well-stocked for ruckmen but we're full of injuries," McLaren said.

"Matt has played senior footy before and played for Dennington last year.

"We've got full confidence in him. He's dominated the reserves in the ruck."

Isaac Sinnott was dropped back to the under 18s.

Warrnambool made one change, bringing in Damien McCorkell (unavailable) for Mitch Burgess (NAB League).

Portland-listed ruckman Tylar Watts, 19, will make his VFL debut for Werribee.

He was one of seven changes for the Tigers, who face South Warrnambool.

Harris Jennings (AFL Young Guns), Aaron Shepherd (unavailable) and injured quartet Tanner Lovell, Ed Pritchard, Sam Hampshire and Zane Barker will miss. Debutant Conor Drought is among the Tigers' additions.

The Roosters have a debutant of their own in teenage key forward-ruck Jess Baillie.

"He is a developing tall who is super competitive and works hard on his game," South coach Mat Battistello said.

Jayden Brooks, Archie Stevens and Ben Annett, who has returned to football after a break, come in for the Roosters.

Fraser Marris and Marcus Herbert (NAB League), Brad Miller (rested) and Jock Blair (injury) are out.

Camperdown will also unveil a debutant, bringing in Zavier Mungean - a division one Brierly-Christ Church cricketer - for its clash against North Warrnambool Eagles.

Mungean leads the under 18.5 goal-kicking with 30 majors.

"He is very smart, strong and reads the ball well," Pies co-coach Neville Swayn.

Co-coach Jack Williams is out with general soreness.
