Three of Jackson's last four rides for Musgrove have resulted in wins while the other was a third placing.
Musgrove said Jackson would be used by his stable more in the future after his main jumps jockey Martin Kelly was disqualified on betting offences for 20 months.
"Shane's doing a great job," the respected trainer said.
"I'll be using Shane a bit more in the future but he's hard to get because he rides for various other jumping trainers.
"I know he's highly regarded by other jumps trainers.
"One only has to see the magnificent job he did on Dormello Mo at Warrnambool last week. He was entitled to fall off Dormello Mo but it was through his ability he stayed on the horse.
"Shane put in a great ride on Lucques on Saturday."
Jackson's other ride Jumbo Prince ran third in the $45,000 hurdle race.
The Gawler meeting was the only race meeting in South Australia on Saturday.
Former Warrnambool trainer Amy McDonald won the $45,000 hurdle with Felix Bay.
Champion jumps jockey Steven Pateman had the winning ride on Felix Bay.
