The Warriors, who have lost the past three grand finals, overcame a gritty Timboon Demons on Saturday, winning 8.18 (66) to 6.5 (41) at Davidson Oval.
Sheehan will use the Warriors' bye week to stamp out their attacking woes.
"I thought we moved the footy well except towards goal - we kicked 18 behinds and had eight or 10 out on the fulls," he said.
"There were easy ones we let slip and we kept them in the game. The last kick going forward hurt us.
"Goal-kicking has been an issue for a little bit and it's something we'll keep working on and one day it will click.

"But it was hard kicking for goal (on Saturday) - you could have been 30 metres out and because of the (muddy) condition of the ground you couldn't put your foot down to launch at it."
Sheehan could welcome back up to five players, including Bodie Hibberson and Tom Lambevski, after Old Collegians' week off.
The Warriors sit fourth with a 9-4 win-loss record and play East Warrnambool, Allansford and Russells Creek in the run home.
Sheehan hopes former coach Josh Reichman, who was the Warriors' best against the Demons, can carry his form with him.
