A good combination is like discovering gold. But which Hampden league side has hit a gold mine?
The answer to that question is North Warrnambool Eagles with the pairing of Skye Billings and Vic Grundy.
Grundy has shot 261 goals while Billings has contributed 250 to sit in the top six tallies behind Cobden's Emily Finch (298), Koroit premiership star Nell Mitchell (291), South Warrnambool's Eliza Dwyer (272) and Portland's Lauren Hockley (266).
The pair account for 511 of the Eagles' 558 goals this season which equates to 91 per cent of all goals scored by Jaime Barr's side, which sits second behind Cobden, in 2019.
The only combinations to beat them on percentage of team goals is Hockley and Sharlie Trigg (424 of 434 - 97 per cent) at Portland and Warrnambool trio Amy Wormald, Danielle Keilor and Jess Thwaites (472 of 506 - 93 per cent).
Billings and Grundy sit only behind Cobden trio Molly Hutt, Emily and Jaymie Finch (534 goals) as the most proficient combination but are the best pairing ahead of Portland and Koroit.
They may not be the best in all categories but they are the most consistent. In their 11 games in the shooting ring they have only had two games below 20 goals each.

But what makes them work so well together?
Grundy, who has locked down the goal shooter role in her second season in the open grade side, contributes it to the pair being on the same page on a number of things.
"Skye and I just naturally work in well together, we always have," the 20-year-old said. "We know how to support and motivate each other when it's needed.
"Skye and myself sync, we know where each other are and we work off one and another which makes us work well in the ring."
Billings, who is one of the team's assistant coaches with twin sister Jordyn, said the key was staying positive.
"We are always encouraging each other," the 24-year-old said.
"Whether I'm not having a good game or she isn't we love to get around each other and have a positive attitude."
Grundy said consistency helped the pair, who average 23 and 22 goals respectively a game, find their best form.
"This is the first year Skye and I have been consistently working in the goals together," she said.
"We have had past experience together over the last few years, but this is the first year we managed to work along side each other week after week."
Billings, who predominantly plays in goal attack for the Eagles, adds that building a strong relationship with Grundy off the court has helped during games.
