Allansford
Current position: Sixth - six wins, five losses
Points for: 869
Points against: 870
Mark: B
Comment: A big year of improvement from the Cats but there is still a lot of work to be done yet.
Ben Price has created a side capable of fighting for finals but consistency and adapting to any situation it encounters is key to making an impact later in the season.
Dennington
Current position: 11th - zero wins, 11 losses
Points for: 428
Points against: 1575
Mark: D
Comment: As first seasons come this has been a tough but rewarding one for Mick Phillips and his side.
The more games Phillips get into his young list the better the club will be in the next few years.
The goal for the final half of the season will be to make as much impact as possible and you never know a win might pop up.
East Warrnambool
Current position: 10th - two wins, nine losses
Points for: 577
Points against: 1359
Mark: C
Comment: The Bombers have been competitive for most of their games this season but Danny Chatfield's side can suffer from lapses in games and that is what kills its chances of scoring more victories.
If Chatfield can keep his side on task it will score more than two wins in the second half of the season.

Kolora-Noorat
Current position: First - 11 wins, zero losses
Points for: 1404
Points against: 489
Mark: A
Comment: When thinking of the Power there is only one word that resonates with their season - unbeaten.
Ben Walsh has had an impressive start to his coaching tenure at Noorat and his side is working towards a second flag in three seasons.
The key to ensuring it lifts the cup in September is form, injuries and continuing to win big games.
Merrivale
Current position: Third - eight wins, three losses
Points for: 1262
Points against: 634
Mark: B
Comment: A year of resurgence by Jason Rowan's Tigers outfit.
A host of recruits have put it in the hunt for a top-three position and a chance to cause some real damage once in finals.
Beware the Tiger in the latter parts of this season.

Nirranda
Current position: Second - nine wins, two losses
Points for: 1350
Points against: 434
Mark: B
Comment: The Blues are flying under the radar at number two.
While every other team is on the move from last season, the Shane Threlfall-Shane Quick-led side is cruising along, ready to pounce.
Come finals the Blues will again be a difficult team to beat.
Old Collegians
Current position: Fourth - eight wins, three losses
Points for: 1067
Points against: 724
Mark: B
Comment: The Warriors are not far behind the pace and still have plenty of energy left in their charge.
The challenge for Nick Sheehan's side is to beat the teams above it, starting this week with old foes Nirranda.

Panmure
Current position: Seventh - five wins, six losses
Points for: 782
Points against: 911
Mark: C
Comment: A much improved year for the Bulldogs with the foundations being laid for a return to finals possibly this year or next.
Chris Bant just needs more consistency from his side, once that occurs it's a capable finals contender.
Watch the Bulldogs to finish the year strongly.
Russells Creek
Current position: Ninth - two wins, nine losses
Points for: 717
Points against: 1114
Mark: C
Comment: The Kangaroos' first season under Peter Timms has been fruitful but also one of disappointment due to injury and unavailability.
But not having the full senior side on the park at all this season will strengthen the club for the next few campaigns.
South Rovers
Current position: Fifth - five wins, five losses
Points for: 841
Points against: 839
Mark: B
Comment: This year has not been at the same level as last season but after the Lions' final bye they have a chance to push their record from an even 5-5 into a positive finish.
With more wins they all but book a spot in finals. Adam Matheson's side will be eager to pull off more big scalps like it did against the Warriors.

Timboon Demons
Current position: Eighth - four wins, seven losses
Points for: 636
Points against: 984
Mark: C
Comment: It was always going to be a different year to last season with Marcus Hickey implementing the style he wants to play and finding his feet as a coach.
But the year has not been a fail with Hickey's side still a chance to make a big impact later in the season.
The Demons may be two games outside the finals race but they have an opportunity to try and beat five sides, which are all above them on the ladder.
