"Sunday afternoon shows are like what Saturday night used to be," Hocking said.
Hocking is bringing his Blues Machine trio to town for a Sunday afternoon session at Hotel Warrnambool.
He is enjoying a break before a embarking on new tour with Australian pub rock legends The Screaming Jets (and before they open for KISS at the Newcastle Supercars in November).
"I have had this blues band going for 15-20 years," he said.
"We play a variety of songs from originals written for our three albums to blues-rock standard classics.
"It's kind of a self-indulgent band for my part, but it is a good time blues band."
As a special treat Hocking will perform on a solid body electric guitar constructed by Lake Gnotuk guitar maker Stephen Gilchrist.
"It will be nice to bring a local instrument back to it's home town," Hocking said.
Hocking said the band will start making noise and annoying people at 3pm this Sunday 30 June.
