Detective Senior Constable Leah Sullivan, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said there was a fire in a shed on a large property at the Casterton end of the Casterton-Edenhope Road.
A Country Fire Authority investigator is trying to determine the cause of the blaze which is believed to be not suspicious.
