After 12 rounds The Standard's Sean Hardeman has looked at the performances of every WDFNL club so far this year and rated how he thinks the 11 teams have gone in 2019.
Allansford
Current position: 10th - two wins, nine losses
Goals for: 447
Goals against: 567
Mark: D
Comment: It has been a tough first season for Bridget Foster at the Cattery but her side has shown plenty of promise.
The Cats have lost a number of close games under five goals but even in their bigger losses they have shown they have the scoring potential to match it with some of the top teams.
If Foster can sort out her side's defence it will go a long way to it gaining more victories in the back end of the year.
Dennington
Current position: Fourth - eight wins, three losses
Goals for: 530
Goals against: 434
Mark: B
Comment: Not a bad year so far for the Dogs but they are not firing on all cylinders.
Josie Bolden will not have warning bells ringing as her side's three defeats have come against Nirranda, twice, and Merrivale by a goal.
If the Dogs can keep winning against sides above them, they will be a big force if they score the double chance at season's end.

East Warrnambool
Current position: 11th - zero wins, 10 defeats, one draw
Goals for: 381
Goals against: 669
Mark: D
Comment: The Bombers have struggled to get wins on the board with injuries and unavailability hampering their experienced players.
If Donna Chatfield keeps all her pilots flying in formation, they'll surprise more teams like they did in an unlikely draw against Timboon Demons recently.
Kolora-Noorat
Current position: Seventh - four wins, seven losses
Goals for: 432
Goals against: 512
Mark: C
Comment: The Power are not far away from the finals race in a big resurgence by Kym Goonan's side.
They have the second-best defence outside the top five and if they continue to utilise this asset they will continue to challenge teams.
Goonan's side will be eager to cause a few more upsets in the back half of the season and it is capable of doing so.
Merrivale
Current position: Third - nine wins, two losses
Goals for: 507
Goals against: 423
Mark: A
Comment: A massive first year under Carly Peake and the Tigers have more to give.
Scoring more goals will be big on the agenda for the first-year mentor and once she does that her Tigers will be an even greater threat for the flag.
Keeping everyone on the court and keeping the defence firing will be key to securing a double chance.
Nirranda
Current position: First - 10 wins, one loss
Goals for: 620
Goals against: 393
Mark: A
Comment: The Blues have picked up exactly where they left off in 2018.
They are the best defence team and the second-best attacking team but they are still the firm premiership favourites.
Sustaining good form becomes key to their quest of going back-to-back this season.
Old Collegians
Current position: Second - nine wins, two losses
Goals for: 670
Goals against: 525
Mark: A
Comment: An impressive year so far for the charging Warriors.
The task now for co-coaches Jess Toleman and Meagan Forth is to sort out their defence, which is the one of the worst in the competition.
Sorting this area of their game will see the Warriors' chances of winning a flag rise.

Panmure
Current position: Eighth - three wins, eight losses
Goals for: 464
Goals against: 598
Mark: C
Comment: A positive start for Stacey Dunkley in her first season at the helm of the Bulldogs.
Her side has been close to some of the top five this season and sorting out its defence will help bridge the gap and ensure it secures more wins later in the year.
Russells Creek
Current position: Ninth - two wins, nine losses
Goals for: 451
Goals against: 517
Mark: C
Comment: A bit of a slip back for Thalia Robertson's side after last year's appearance in finals.
But the Creekers have suffered a number of close losses and this year is by no means a lost one.
The final part of the season will provide a stepping stone for their next campaign.
South Rovers
Current position: Fifth - six wins, four losses
Goals for: 497
Goals against: 434
Mark: B
Comment: The Lions have found their roar again and are closing in on a return to finals action.
But before they get there Jess Rohan will need to find a way to sort out the scoring output to give her side a better chance in the fight for a flag.
Sort this area of their game out and the Lions can be a genuine threat against any of the teams above them.
Timboon Demons
Current position: Sixth - six wins, four losses, one draw
Goals for: 547
Goals against: 474
Mark: C
Comment: A bit of a learning curve year for the Demons in Leah Sinnott's first year at Timboon.
Their season is far from over with finals still on the cards but to ensure they make the final five they need to find form and keep it.
Once they do that, the focus shifts to snatching up vital wins as the season winds down when points become a highly sought after commodity.
