Long-serving administrator Kelvin White is retiring from the president's position after twenty years at the helm as he continues his role with the Victorian Country Cricket League.
White, who will enter his second season as president of the VCCL, stated in a press release the demand of both positions hampered his ability to perform both effectively.
"It would be unfair on the region to continue to carry out duties associated with both positions," he said.
"Even as VCCL vice-president and chairman of selectors for the previous six years, I felt I was not giving enough time to the Waves' job."

White will formally hand over the Waves' presidency at the Region's annual meeting on Sunday July 28 when all positions on the board will be declared vacant.
He said there were plenty of worthy candidates around the south-west who could step into the position.
"I know we have so many great cricket people in our region who have the ability to carry out the role very well," he said.
"It is a privileged position that brings many rewards with it."
