The reliable defender will slot in after four weeks away, giving the Magpies' stability against Terang Mortlake at Terang.

He is one of three additions to the Pies' line-up for the clash at Terang - it was previously scheduled for Mortlake but has been switched after an early season game was moved to D.C Farran Oval.

Vice-captain Matt Field (hamstring) and Tim Place were also picked to play with PJ Manivong (hamstring), Tim Fitzgerald (ankle) and Devon Coates (omitted) making way.

Koroit loses premiership-winning midfielder Liam Hoy for its clash with Hamilton Kangaroos at Victoria Park. Saints coach Chris McLaren said Hoy had been carrying an ankle injury.

"It's not getting better and he needs a spell to sort it out," he said.

"We'll see how it settles down after a week but I think we will give him the bye (to recover) too."

Warrnambool brought in Harry Ryan to replace NAB League-bound Mitch Burgess for the Blues' away game against Cobden.

"We haven't been able to squeeze him in and he's gone back to the under 18s and been dominant," Blues coach Matt O'Brien said.

"He's like a man in a kid's game."
