Plays the thing: Port Fairy Theatre Group presents its much-loved annual series of short stage pieces selected and produced from locally submitted plays. Friday and Saturday.
Theatre: The Lighthouse Theatre will come alive from 7.30pm with 'Hallowed Ground, Women Doctors at War' which recounts the stories of women from World War One through to modern peacekeepers working in times of crisis.
Saturday
Fishing: The Vic Bream Fishing Classic is on this weekend at the Hopkins River. Australian cricket legend Merv Hughes will be at BCF on Sunday from noon before the weigh-in.
Massed Choir: The South West Choral Festival will bring more than 160 singers from 11 different choirs to perform at St Joseph's Church from 1.30pm.
Classical charm: The music of composer Ludovico Einaudi will be performed by Julie McErlain, Mike Weise, Chris Philpot, Tristan Foster and Andrew Philpot at Reardon Theatre beginning at 4pm. Ten-string guitarist Matthew Fagan aka 'Lord of the Strings!' will perform afterwards from 7.30pm.
Pub Gigs: Make your way to the Commercial Hotel for Dave Burgess or to the Cally Hotel to see Glenn Kelly at 9pm.
Battle of the birds: Fourth-placed South Warrnambool hosts fifth-ranked Port Fairy in a Hampden league clash at Friendly Societies' Park on Saturday. Bounce down is at 2pm.
Sunday
Winter Solstice Dawn Swim: A dip to cleanse, awaken or embolden and back it up with warming company by the fire drums and a barbeque breakfast at the Port Fairy Surf Club from 7am.
History in the making: South Warrnambool and Portland will go head-to-head in their first Deakin University Female Football League senior women's match at Friendly Societies' Park from 2pm.
Live Music: The explosive Z-Star Trinity will take to the Mozart Hall stage. Doors open at 6.30pm with support from Eddy Boyle.
Sunday session: Hotel Warrnambool will host Lost in Suburbia:from 3pm while Dave Burgess will be performing at the Cally Hotel from 4pm.
Wednesday
Book launch: Ocean Road author Mark Smith will launch his latest work and share his experiences and expertise at Brauer College Library from 5pm.
Thursday
Movie Night: The Inner Wheel Club will screen "Yesterday" from 6.30pm at the Capitol Cinema.
Jazz time: Jazz Combo will hit the stage at the Hotel Warrnambool from 8.30pm.
