Ellerslie's Zac Parsons, who flew to the US on Thursday, will spend 18 days overseas, six of them commentating mircosprints.
It is the second time the Warrnambool Tyre Plus worker has called races in the states.
"You try and make the show as interactive as you can for the crowd and people who watch it," Parsons said.
"I like to get people involved and put on a show."
Parsons, 21, said he was working on his craftmanship and catch-phrases.
He will commentate in Illinois, Nebraska and Missouri and conduct interviews from the infield.
