A 15-year-old Warrnambool youth who took LSD, jumped on a car and spat at police officers has had his case adjourned so he can pay for the damage he caused.

The youth, who cannot be named because he is aged under 18, appeared in court this week where police said they would not oppose him applying for diversion if he paid the $280 compensation.
The magistrate adjourned the case until September 5 so the youth, who works part-time, can save up the money.
A lawyer said his client stupidly took LSD for the first time and became out of control.
He said the youth was in fear and put police to a lot of trouble.
The youth jumped onto a car, had to be physically restrained and spat at police officers.
He was hospitalised after experiencing hallucinations.
The magistrate said the compensation simply had to be paid before the case could be finalised.
He also asked the youth if he had any issues with drugs.
The youth said: "No. Not at the moment".
In other news, a Hamilton district drug user who helped steal a smoking oven has been jailed for five days he already served and been placed on a six-month community corrections order.
Karl James Dreher, 45, of Hare Street, Merino, pleaded guilty in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing and using cannabis, committing an offence while on bail and dishonestly assisting in the removal of stolen goods.
When arrested by police, Dreher found where the smoking oven had been taken and made sure it was taken back to the owner.
Police alleged that Dreher was intercepted by police on March 5 driving his Holden ute in Hamilton's Kenna Avenue.
Four zip lock bags of cannabis, weighing 4.8 grams, were found in the vehicle as well as scales and syringes.
He was bailed to appear in Hamilton court during July.
Then late on the night of June 5, Dreher picked up another man in the Hamilton Coles supermarket car park.
They went to the rear of a cafe in the Hamilton CBD where a $300 smoker oven was stolen.
At 12.46am the following morning Dreher was intercepted by police who noticed the smoker in the rear of his ute.
It was reported stolen later in the day and police made follow-up inquiries.
Magistrate Mark Stratmann said it was a theft of property from a retail premise which undermined community confidence and Dreher had refused to identify his co-offenders.
