LYNDOCH residents could barely believe their eyes and ears when they visited South West TAFE on Thursday.
They spent time in the innovation hub and tried out the virtual reality goggles and watched Narla the robot in action. The residents were given demonstrations by students from the institute's VCAL program.
Ted Ballis, 83, said he had never seen anything like Narla. She spoke to him, waved to him and even lifted her arms on command.
"It's beyond me," he laughed.
Gwen Grayson had a great time using the goggles, taking a look off the side of a tall building and being confronted by a dinosaur. She said the experience was unlike anything she had ever done.
