Chante Marie Gerrett, 41, of no fixed address, applied for bail in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon charged with breaching orders and assault.
The application was adjourned part-heard after magistrate Mark Stratmann requested more information be provided to the court.
He said Ms Gerrett had not reached the exceptional circumstances standard required for her to be granted bail.
Lawyer Karin Temperley said her client had accommodation with her ex-mother-in-law but Ms Gerrett had complex mental health issues.
She said Ms Gerrett had recently spent 10 weeks at a rehabilitation facility.
Ms Temperley has committed to providing detailed information to the court when Ms Gerrett returns to court on June 21.
Ms Gerrett will be held in custody until then.
Monday: A 41-year-old woman who threw a glass at her ex-partner, causing a gash to his forehead, has been remanded in custody after being arrested overnight.
Warrnambool police Sergeant James van Engelen said the woman had been charged with recklessly causing injury, breaching an intervention order and bail offences.
"She was arrested on Sunday night," he said.
"Back in May she was charged with make threats to kill and seriously injure, assault and bail offences. She was remanded but then released on bail on June 3 with the condition she do rehab."
The woman is also on three counts of bail, to appear in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on July 5, July 15 and August 19, charged with drug offences, theft, handling stolen goods and persistent breaches of an intervention order.
He ex-partner took out an intervention order protecting himself from the woman in February.

When she was released from custody, she telephoned the man to come and get her from the Warrnambool police station.
Sergeant van Engelen said that on Sunday the woman got into an argument and threw a glass of water at the man's face.
The glass struck him to the forehead, causing a small cut.
The woman is alleged to have made full admissions to breaching her intervention order.
She was arrested overnight Sunday, interviewed, charged and remanded in custody to appear in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Tuesday for a bail/remand hearing.
