The Tigers had 12 individual goal-kickers against a hapless East Warrnambool Bombers outfit as the Jason Rowan-coached side carved out 29.18 (192) a 2.7 (19) domination.

Rowan booted six goals, but he was eclipsed by Kyden Jarvis, who slotted a bag of eight majors and rose to third on the WDFNL's goal-kicking table with 33 in total.

"Kyden's a super player - just your stay at home forward who is great overhead and even better when the ball hits the deck," Rowan said.

"It's great to see him getting reward for effort."

Best on ground midfielder Jyron Neave, who rested in the forward line, also helped himself to four goals

"'Chum' (Neave) is great to watch and plays that high risk game by taking his opponent on," Rowan said.

Merrivale, fourth, takes on fifth-placed Allansford next week as it looks to keep snapping at the heels of the WDFNL's top three sides.

And while Rowan said Josh Britton (knee) was in doubt, he would most likely welcome James Kelly (illness) and Leatham Robe (soreness) back into the side.

"This will be a huge game for both clubs going forward into finals," Rowan said.

"We're really looking forward to meeting Allansford. But we need to work on maintaining our high intensity footy, because we've had lapses all year.

"We were a bit flat in that first term and to East Warrnambool's credit, they were first to the ball and played on their terms."

East Warrnambool will look to rebound next week with a home game against the Timboon Demons.
