A South Australian truck driver has been committed to stand trial after being charged with killing an international tourist and seriously injuring three others in a horror four-vehicle collision near Portland.

Peter Buckley, 59, of Mount Gambier, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday for a committal hearing and was ordered to stand trial in the Warrnambool County Court.
He indicated to the court he intends to plead not guilty to culpable driving, dangerous driving causing death, reckless conduct and three counts of dangerous driving causing serious injury.
The case was adjourned to a directions hearing on June 25.
Mr Buckley is accused of driving a fully-loaded log truck on the Portland-Nelson Road, north of Portland, when it smashed into stationary vehicles at road works on March 14, 2018.
He was not injured and was arrested at the scene.
