Begood Toya Mother, ridden by Declan Bates, defeated Elite Drake by five lengths with Arancini back in third place in the $125,000 race.
Having only his tenth start the four-year-old notched up his fifth consecutive victory for Daniel Bowman.
Bowman said Begood Toya Mother deserved a short break following a remarkable campaign.
"He's won five from five in this preparation," Bowman said. "He's raced his way through the bottom grades in one campaign. He can't do any better then that.
"We've got to go up in grade with him again but I'm quietly confident he'll measure up to black type races.
"We've always had a good opinion of him but it all came together for him in this campaign.
"I've got to give credit to Declan. He does a lot of work for our stable and understands Begood Toya Mother which is a real advantage."
The early indications are Bowman will set Begood Toya Mother at the group one Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield in September.
"There's plenty of nice races in the spring for him," he said. "The Rupert Clarke is the preferred option at this stage but that may change.
"We're not locked into anything. The win is extra special because lots of people from Warrnambool have small shares in the ownership of Begood Toya Mother."
From his ten starts Begood Toya Mother has won over $192,000 in prizemoney.
