David Snibson, 38, of Cottonwood Court, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday where he made a self-represented bail application.
He told the court he suffered mental health issues and had a medical operation in June.
But Magistrate Michael Coghlan said if the charges were proven, Mr Snibson would most likely receive a "very long jail sentence".
He said the accused had failed to show exceptional circumstances why he should be released on bail and remanded him in custody until May 31.
In June 2018, Mr Snibson was sentenced to six months' jail following significant family violence against his former partner.
He was released in November and within six days he created a fake Facebook account, which he used to send 97 messages to his former partner. The messages suggested he had her under surveillance.
He also used the fake account to send a further 40 messages suggesting the victim's new partner had been telling people about their sex life.
Mr Snibson was remanded in custody on December 13.
He spent four months on remand and was released on April 11 on a 24-month community corrections order.
Then on May 2, about two weeks after his release, Mr Snibson accessed the victim's Instagram account and sent multiple messages to her male associates, inviting them to her house.
Police allege Mr Snibson was attempting to break up the relationship between the victim and her new boyfriend.
Then on May 20, Mr Snibson attended a south-west primary school and hid behind a tree before speaking to his son. The conduct contravened a court order.
Police said Mr Snibson had caused fear and anxiety to the victim.
Mr Snibson was arrested on May 24. During a police interview he denied all of the offending.
