Old Collegians dominated the second half to run out 11.13 (79) to 6.8 (44) winners after getting a huge scare from the Bulldogs in the first half.
Panmure turned it on in the second quarter to go into half-time with a 13-point lead.
MORE FOOTBALL:
Sheehan said the Bulldogs were the better side in the opening two quarters.
"We weren't first to the footy in the first half," he said. "They made us look slow in the first half."
At the main break, Sheehan "put pressure on a few blokes" and made moves on his clipboard.
Big man Scott Lenehan, who had spent time in the forward line, was put in the ruck for the second half.
Meanwhile, Josh Dwyer was pushed up to a wing from the back line. After the break, the Warriors started winning contested ball and their tackling pressure lifted.
Sheehan was also impressed by his team's spread from stoppages, something that has been a focus for his side.
The Warriors mentor was pleased with the performance of Eli Barker, who played in the forward line and midfield.
He also said defender-turned-forward Aaron Williams "presented really well" in attack.
Old Collegians has a bye next week, while Panmure will host winless Dennington on Saturday.
