The Hampden league as a whole will be full of confidence after its representative side secured a strong victory over Ballarat last Saturday.
One player in particular who is eager to get back into it is Cobden goalie Molly Hutt, who is finding her feet in two new roles at the club.
The 19-year-old has been adapting to a new role in wing defence when the Bombers shooting sisters Jaymie and Emily Finch are both in the side.
Hutt is also having a crack at a junior coaching gig alongside open grade mentor Mel Starr.

Hamilton is one of the teams struggling at the bottom of the ladder but their coach Kelsey Lewis is confident her side can turn it around when it travels to take on Camperdown.
Meanwhile, the second-placed Warriors are fine-tuning their defence to keep their impressive run of form going when they face Panmure, who have scored three wins in a row before a bye last weekend.
South Rovers playing coach Jess Rohan will renew a family rivalry when she faces her sister Stacy Mills when the Lions take on the Cats on Saturday.

While the bye has come at a good time for Merrivale who were without some of its key players last Saturday goalie Milly Mahony said after last weekend's win that the team was still trying to find the right mix to cover the losses.
