Lewis' side have just one win from four games to start the season but her confidence that her side can turn it around has not wavered.
"The wins will come, we just have to play consistent, hard and solid four-quarter games," she said.
"I've said to the girls over and over again that we're not far away, we just have to lift our intensity and really push and thrive for those wins, which are just around the corner.
"I think our defensive pressure is really picking up. They're working really hard together to make things work and really clicking.
"Everyone is doing their job and what is asked of them, it's just that we haven't had a consistent four-quarter game yet, which has really let us down."
MORE NETBALL:
The Kangaroos face Camperdown, which are sixth with a 2-3 record on Saturday and Lewis is aware of the challenge her side faces.
"Camperdown are always a tough opponent, but once again we just have to really concentrate on playing our own game and sticking to our game plan," she said.
"I will continue to harp to the girls that we need to play four consistent quarters."
Lewis has enjoyed stepping into the Kangaroos' main coaching role.
"I have such a young group of girls who all want to listen and learn," she said.
"They all just want to thrive individually and together as a team."
The first-year mentor said her side had not altered its approach during the interleague bye last weekend.
"This week we're just going to continue to work on our full-court defensive pressure and really owning our balls," she said.
