Portland police have apprehended two people after an attempted burglary at a church in the city.

Sergeant Ray Hastings from Portland police said two offenders tried to break into the Seventh Day Adventist church on Cape Nelson Road.
The attempted break-in occurred about 8pm on Saturday.
"One male offender was processed last night," Sergeant Hastings said.
"A Portland male in his 30s was charged for criminal trespass.
"A Portland female also in her 30s will face the bail justice on Sunday afternoon. She is charged with attempted burglary, criminal damage, attempted theft and committing an indictable offense while on bail."
