The Bottle Greens led by three goals at the first change, six at the main break and final change before running out 11-goal victors, much to the delight of Starr.
"You have to be happy with an 11-goal win against a powerhouse league like Ballarat," she said.
"They've got a huge amount of talented players that they can choose from, so I'm really stoked to get away with the win."
Amy Wormald, who finished the game as best on court after shooting 39 goals of the Bottle Greens 55 goals, credited the hard work of teammates up the court for her starring role.
"I was obviously pretty happy with my performance but it was just so easy with the cailbre of players that I'm playing with," she said. "It was coming down so easy it was easy for me to play well."

Wormald, who will miss the Hampden league's association champs campaign, praised a number of her teammates.
"I thought Emily-Rose Finnigan come on in centre and created a lot of space and assurance with the ball," she said.
"My fellow (Blues) teammate Sarah O'Keeffe she held up a lot in defence. The defence was unreal both Weardo (Jess Weardon) and Carly (Watson) they were good."
Starr backed the umpires call to award Wormald the best on court medal.
"Amy just created this option for us in goal shooter where we knew we could get it to her," she said.
"She is so athletic and I don't think she gets a lot of opportunity to play goal shooter normally so she was a bit out of her comfort zone but she stood up really well."
MORE INTERLEAGUE:
Starr said the side had plenty to build on and would have some big names returning for their next games.
"We finished third last year and there was a bye we shouldn't have had due to wet weather so the girls will be pretty keen to come in," she said.
"We have a couple going out who aren't available Association Champs but then we have a couple of big ins with Nell Mitchell and Nadine McNamara."
