Today, community house volunteers will gather for a special luncheon in their honour.
Port Fairy Community House support and finance officer Jo Campbell said volunteers played a huge role.
"We have 18 volunteers spread across our reception, market and committee of management," Ms Campbell said.
"Without them, we wouldn't be where we are.
"In November, Port Fairy Community House will celebrate our 30th year and volunteers have helped us sustain and grow what we have."
Ms Campbell is joined on staff at community house by Carol Campbell (community engagement coordinator) and Pam McGoldrick (market and house coordinator).
Ms Campbell has been involved in the community house for seven years, starting off as a volunteer.
