The Bloods have already eclipsed last season's win tally after five games of this Hampden League season and currently sit fourth with three wins and two losses.

The 21-year-old veterinary nurse student found it difficult to pick a teammate whose form had stood out above the rest.

"The last couple of weeks we haven't had a bad player everyone has been playing an equal part," she said.

"I couldn't say one person who has been standing out. It's good when you are all playing as a team and a whole team effort makes the wins better."

Arundell also credited the returns of captain Aimee Moloney and former Kolora-Noorat centre Emma Lucas as well as the inclusion of former Dennington premiership star Melissa Burt for injecting more life into an emerging group.

"We have had a few good recruits this year as we were very young last year and with a few more leaders on the court it helps steady things," she said.

"With those leaders there everyone has that communication and knows that they need to work harder for a spot as there is more pressure this year.

"Everyone has been keen the last few weeks. Everyone is keen to make finals and to better ourselves as players."

The Bloods' last finals campaign was in 2015 when they bowed out to eventual premier North Warrnambool Eagles in the semi final.

Arundell, Moloney and Lucas are the only players who featured in the 10-goal loss but the finals experience of Burt, who played in three successful premierships in the Warrnambool and District league, will come in handy for the push back to September action.

After this weekend's interleague bye the Bloods face South Warrnambool.
