Banff Australia festival director Jemima Robinson said she was excited to be bringing the program to Warrnambool for the first time.
"We have been in Australia for about 15 years, so it has taken us a while, but we are coming," Ms Robinson said.
"The Banff Mountain film festival is like the Cannes of outdoor adventure films.
"There were 400 entries into this years program.
"We select the seven best of those films to tour around Australia."
"This is a great year with films for all of the family."
The films include stories on a Nepali mountain bike rider, a race between an Olympic skier and a drone, a 19-year old rock climber, and a 97-year old marathon runner.
"The longest film in this year's program is the story of a mother and daughter who take on a six month trip through the Canadian coastal mountain range, it's an epic 2300 kilometre journey for no other reason then because they want to," Ms Robinson said.
"The beauty of this festival is that it can be inspiring for everyone.
"These are all people doing awesome things in beautiful places.
"Audiences can connect with the people and the spirit of adventure. There is a takeaway for everyone."
Tickets for the screening are available through the Banff Australia website.
