Cole was invited to compete in the Australian Karate Federation Elite Kobi Osaka tournament on Sunday May 5 where she finished third in the veteran ladies black belt kata class.
Then last Saturday the Funakoshi Karate International dojo student was accepted to represent Victoria at the Australian Karate Federation National Championships, which are set to be held in Tasmania in August later this year.
It continues a strong run of form for the experienced fighter, who won six medals at the recent National All Styles Karate Tournament in March.
The south-west dojo's instructor Peter Conroy said it's a great honour for Cole to represent her state and that her fellow Funakoshi Karate International members were eager to see her do well at the championships.
