Jyran Chatfield ran amok in the forward line to finish with five goals with Harry Haradine and Matt Kenny best on ground as the Bombers ran out 14.12 (96) to 7.8 (50) winners.
Dogs skipper Michael Phillips left the ground in the second quarter and went to hospital with fears of broken ribs but the home side still managed to put up a strong fight, closing the margin to 17 points at one point in the final term.
Tully Allwood top-scored for Dennington with three but it was the Bombers' day and the win was a moment to savour for the club after a tough week that saw playing-coach Danny Chatfield hospitalised following a serious head injury.
The other winners included Old Collegians, Nirranda and South Rovers.
Kolora-Noorat remains two games clear on top of the WDFNL football ladder, while Nirranda is on top of the netball ladder.
