That must make a year an eternity.
Warrnambool and North Warrnambool Eagles' changing fortunes attest to that.
They will meet in the Hampden league top-of-the-table clash at Bushfield on Saturday.
The contest's top billing is a stark contrast to 2018 when the two sides met as cellar dwellers.
"It's a bit ironic - we met in round six last year and neither of us had won a game and we meet in round five this year and neither of us have lost a game," Warrnambool coach Matt O'Brien said.
"Both games are as important as each other."
