Samantha Dance, 33, of Simpson Street, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to offences.
Lawyer Ian Pugh said at the time of the offending Dance had a $1000 a night ice habit with her former partner and was desperately seeking support.
But magistrate Franz Holzer said the community should not be subjected to Dance's antisocial and unruly behaviour.
"The message here needs to be made quite plain - this sort of behaviour is not tolerated," he said.
Dance was sentenced to two months' jail and placed on an 18-month community corrections order.
The court heard that between February 22 and May 9, 2018, Dance checked into numerous hotels in Terang and Warrnambool. She left without paying, accumulating a debt of nearly $3000.
During that period she also stole over $300 fuel from several service stations in Warrnambool and Terang.
Then on June 21, Dance drove a group of teenagers to the Terang golf course before waiting in the car while they threatened a victim with a machete and a golf club.
The victim, fearing he was going to be assaulted or seriously injured, jumped into his vehicle and attempted to drive away but Dance blocked the exit, forcing him to drive past the group of teenagers. One of the teenagers threw the golf club at the victim's car.
Then on November 15, Dance observed her son and his friend attempting to rob a victim of his shoes at Warrnambool's Albert Park.
The men stole the victim's phone after he sent a distressed message to his mother, who attended the scene.
The victim's mother approached Dance, who punched her in the face, knocking her glasses off.
