The Malcolm Groves led team has only lost one match in the competition but it happened to be against Warrnambool one in a tight contest.
Hamilton's best players will have to fire if it is to win and Groves said his top two players Simon Goggin and Mat Walkenhorst had been in good form.
But he said youngster Daniel Battista had shown plenty of promise during this pennant.
"He might have only lost once," he said of the number seven.
"He's a bit of a rock."
The decider will be played at Port Fairy next weekend because of Mother's Day this weekend.
Meanwhile, Warrnambool one will be looking to defend its title.
The Blair Prescott led team enjoyed a "narrow" victory over Port Fairy last season.
He said it had a been a great pennant because it was more competitive than usual.
Prescott said he looked forward to the encounter with Hamilton.
"We always have a good game against them," he said.
The Warrnambool one captain said he was bringing an experienced line-up to the decider.
"We've got a really, really experienced team," he said.
"I see that as being a benefit for us."
Prescott said all his players had been in pennant grand finals before.
The reigning premier will hope its golfers can produce their best on the day.
Prescott said Luke Williams had been in good form and "had been a difficult guy to beat".
