Nathan Bullen, 24, and Emily Smith, 25, had been in custody for 126 days after police found almost 87 grams of crystal methylamphetamine in the car they were asleep in.
On Tuesday, December 18 about 4.30am police noticed a vehicle parked on the shoulder of a road in Allansford and found the pair inside. Magistrate Franz Holzer was told the two had become homeless and had been living in the vehicle. When sentencing Bullen to a two year Community Corrections Order, Magistrate Holzer warned him to change his ways.
"(Otherwise) you will wind up exactly where you are now," he said.
He issued a similar warning to Ms Smith when sentencing her to a Community Corrections Order.
"In short, keep away from drugs in the future," Magistrate Holzer said.
