On Saturday Warrnambool residents will join other cities across the nation, and more than 20 countries worldwide, to help 844 million people globally without access to clean drinking water.
The Warrnambool Presbyterian Church has a team in the World Vision Global 6K for Water and welcomes community members of all ages to join in the event.
Global 6K for Water is a worldwide event which raises funds to help provide access to clean water. Participants can join others from across the globe and walk, jog or run six kilometres. By doing so, you will to help bring life-changing clean water to vulnerable children and communities.
This is the second time Global 6k for Water has been run by World Vision in Australia. The campaign originated in the USA and has been running for four years. In 2018, more than 48,000 people worldwide participated in the Global 6K for Water.
To join in with the local walk, meet at 9.15am on the beach side of Pertobe Road, just after the McGennans Beach car park turn off, Warrnambool.
