Warrnambool police Sergeant Cameron Ross said there was a fight involving security guards and the three males aged in their 30s at Warrnambool's Seanchai Irish Pub late on Friday.
He said one of the offenders was a Warrnambool man and the three were believed to be related.
Sergeant Ross said there were no serious injuries.
"The three males were arrested and conveyed to Warrnambool police station, where they were interviewed and charged with assault.
"They were released on bail and will appear in court at a later date.
"This sort of behaviour is unacceptable. With May Races next week, there will be a coordinated police approach to unruly and antisocial behaviour," he said.
"We want everyone to have a good time and to act accordingly. The community can expect to see an increased police presence around the licensed premises in town over the next week."
Anyone with information should contact Warrnambool police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
