The side, which has a 1-1 win-loss record, plays Russells Creek in the Warrnambool and District league on Saturday.
The Kangaroos have one win from their first three matches.
"Both teams are underdog-like," Foster said.
"Our first game was a learning curve, we lost to Timboon Demons by a fair bit.
"But we won against East Warrnambool by 20. This weekend will be a nice way to gauge where we're at.
"We're similar to Creek. They are quite young and we range from 18 to 25, so it will be very interesting."
Foster said Georgia 'Jean' Martin, who is playing centre and goals, had been a handy pick-up from Terang Mortlake.
Goal attack Emma Stacey has also impressed the coach after stepping up from A reserve.
