WHAT'S ON
On show: Naringal Baptist Church art exhibition continues until Monday with painting, photography, quilting, millinery, and dance displays from 10am to 4pm at 3822 Cobden-Warrnambool Road, Naringal.
Browse: The Warrnambool Uniting Church arts and craft show is on from Saturday to Monday from 10am to 4pm. It features paintings, quilts, liturgical banners, a churches of Europe photo slideshow, water colour pen and wash by Warrnambool artist Andrew Suggett and displays by the Warrnambool Floral Art group. There is a pipe organ recital 2pm daily and a Flowering of the Cross at the Easter Sunday church service at 10.30am on Sunday. Entry is by donation with proceeds to the Warrnambool Special Developmental School.
Book bonanza: Lifeline's popular Easter Book Fair has been extended to five days this year. The Warrnambool shop has been transformed into a book extravaganza, complete with Easter eggs and hot cross buns. More than 20,000 pre-loved books will be for sale with proceeds to go towards Lifeline's suicide prevention services. There will be a Rotary Club sausage sizzle on Saturday and prizes and giveaways each day of the fair. It's on at 134 Lava Street, Warrnambool.
Admire: View the Mercy Place Easter stained glass window display during the month of April and try to locate the Easter icons. The window display is located near the front doors and can be viewed from inside or outside the building at 16 Hopetoun Road, Warrnambool.
Easter Arts Festival: View Our Lady Help of Christians church window display in Selby Road, Warrnambool and an Easter school art competition and photography display at Gateway Plaza until April 29.
Reel in a barrel: The Hooked on Tuna fishing competition continues in Portland on Saturday and Sunday. It began on April 6 and 7 and runs for four weekends until Sunday, April 28 from the Portland Yacht Club with winners sharing in a $5000 cash prize pool.
Art: Merri View Gallery will present an exhibition of Warrnambool and District Artists' Society works, celebrating Easter each weekend from 12pm to 4pm at 4 Coramba Court, Warrnambool. Free entry.
