After a tense first half on the football field the Saints headed into the main break with a one-point advantage after a see-sawing opening two quarters.
Sam Dobson kicked one on the siren to wrestle the lead back before heading into the rooms. But after the main break the five-time premiers showed why they are still the team to beat as they found another level and ran away with the game in the second half.
A seven goal to zero third quarter would be the catalyst, as the Saints stormed to a 16.15 (111) to 8.8 (56) victory.
Over on the netball court the Saints had to fight hard for their victory over the Roosters.
At half time Koroit led by ten goals but a spirited fightback by the Roosters in the third term had them within striking distance of victory.
But after the final break the Saints young stars stepped up to secure a four-goal victory for the reigning premier.
