POLICE have impounded a Portland man's vehicle after he was allegedly clocked speeding at 190km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The 24-year-old driver was intercepted by police on Bridgewater Road at Cape Bridgewater at 11.30am on Friday.
The man's vehicle was immediately impounded and he is expected to be charged on summons for speeding offences.
He was nabbed during Operation Nexus, a five day visibility road policing operation over the Easter long weekend.
