A decision to purchase an Instant Scratch-Its ticket has made a south-west man $25,000 richer.
The Colac man said he didn't buy tickets very often and the win had come as a huge surprise.
The man, who purchased the winning $2 Moo La La ticket from Colac Lotto, shared his excitement with an Instant Scratch-Its official on Thursday morning.
"I was very excited when I found out about the win," he said.
"I don't play very much so it was a bit of a shock. This is the biggest prize I have ever won. It is amazing. I am really, really happy about it."
When asked how he planned to use his win, the elated man admitted he had a few ideas of how to spend it.
"I am going to buy a car and then I will give some to my family," he said.
The man said he would head back to work for the day, and had plans to celebrate the win after Easter.
"I will invite all of my friends over and have a huge barbecue," he said. "They can pick whatever food they want and I'll get it."
Colac Lotto owner Ros Monaghan said she was thrilled to have made another one of her customers a happy winner.
"We are all very excited," Ms Monaghan said.
"He came in with some smaller winning tickets and then bought some more and scratched them in store and that's when he scratched the winning ticket.
"It was so exciting to be able to share that moment with him. It's another great win for us.
"This has proven we are still a lucky store and hopefully this means we have more big wins very soon.
"We are thrilled for our customer and wish him all the best with his prize."
In 2018, there were 155 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners who collectively took home more than $14.26 million.
