Adam "Rocket" Gee passed away on Saturday, four years after he was diagnosed.

His sister Rhiarna said her brother was without a doubt one of the best people she had ever met.

"He was an absolute legend," Ms Gee said. "He was so selfless - he was one of the most selfless people you would ever meet."

This trait was evident during his health battle.

"He liked to make other people smile," she said.

"He was never scared to die, he was just scared to leave us."

Mr Gee, 33, was an avid Geelong Cats fan and was stoked to meet some of his idols before he passed away.

He was also a V8 fan and is well-known for his beloved car - a Holden GTS he dubbed Stelph. Ms Gee said her brother was a bit of a prankster and had once driven a golf buggy down a set of stairs and playfully thrown her off a jetski.

"The one thing he cared about most was making other people laugh and smile."

In addition to that he was never afraid to tell those closest to him that he loved them.

Mr Gee is survived by his partner Stacey Hawker and daughters Emma Gee, 2, and Holly Gee, four months.

He was a son to Bill Gee and Marg McCorkindale and brother to Damian, Alyse and Rhiarna. Mr Gee also leaves behind his beloved dog Delta, a border collie/kelpie cross. Ms Gee said his daughters were his pride and joy and he spent every spare second with them. "He loved taking them to Lake Pertobe and feeding the ducks - they were his world," she said.

Ms Gee said her family had been overwhelmed by the outpouring of grief following his death. "Everyone has been amazing," she said. Mr Gee attended St Joseph's Primary School before attending Brauer College and working at the family business, Norfolk Butchers.

His family has invited anyone who knew "Gee Boy" to celebrate his life at a service at St Joseph's Catholic church on Wednesday at 11am.
