Fast-forward to today and the Demons have won their first three matches of the season and sit atop the ladder.
Sinnott, a Hampden league life member, said it was a great start but difficult to judge where her team was at because she wasn't familiar with the WDFNL.
"Until the first quarter, I don't know much about the other teams," she said.
The Demons mentor said she had noticed the first quarters in each of her side's matches had been tight.
Scores were tied at 11-all at quarter-time in the Demons' win against Russells Creek on Saturday.
Sinnott said it was easier for the her team to work out how to play against its opposition after the first change.
"They've been goal for goal and after that first quarter we've push ahead," she said of her side's wins.
The Demons raced away in the second quarter against Creek and were 29-18 ahead at half-time.
Sinnott said every one of her girls had stood up at different moments during the season.
"Everyone is having patches of great play," she said.
"I've been impressed with their defensive pressure and their ability to maintain that for the game.
"We've just got to reward those defensive efforts."
The Demons coach said she wanted her girls to be more patient and smarter when moving the ball up court.
She said she was also looking forward to having a full-list of players available in the coming rounds.
"We're working toward finding consistency with our positions," she said.
The Demons were without key players Sharni Smethurst and Kelly Gowland during their win on Saturday.
Smethurst injured her wrist in the team's opening match against Panmure and could miss the Demons' clash with Old Collegians in round four.
But Sinnott said Gowland would be back for the Warriors clash.
In the meantime, the Demons have experimented with players in different positions.
"Raina (Hunt) has played a different position in every game," Sinnott said.
Timboon Demons have a bye this week after playing their round three match before the season.
They meet Old Collegians in round four at Davidson Oval on April 27.
Sinnott said her new club had been very welcoming.
"I'm enjoying it," she said.
"It's good to be around a place with fresh faces to work with."
