The Warrnambool export finished the four-round tournament at Augusta National tied for 49th.
He shot 72, 72, 70 and 75 to be one-over - 14 shots behind Woods.
Woods, who has battled serious back issues, won his fifth green jacket.
It came 22 years after his first and 14 years since his most recent.
He finished one shot clear of fellow Americans Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka.
Woods now has 15 majors, just three shy of Jack Nicklaus' 18.
Jason Day was the pick of the Australian contingent, finishing equal fifth.
Leishman had to finish in the top-12 to guarantee his spot in the 2020 Masters' field.
He will now have to qualify for the prestigious event.
