Thousands flocked to the Terang Cup to enjoy a relaxed day of racing and sunshine.
Terang Racing Club president Wayne Johnstone said he believed there were about 1500 people in attendance.
"It's a lovely day, good crowd and the racing has been competitive," Mr Johnstone said.
The fashions on the field event was hotly contested, with Horsham's Belinda Nurse taking out the prize for lady of the day.
She said it was very special honour.
"It was very much a shock - the girls looked amazing," Mrs Nurse said.
She said she had a great time at the race event and vowed to return.
Melbourne's Ben Carbonaro took out the prize in the men's category.
He joked he was a "serial offender" when it came to entering fashions on the field and was delighted to take the win.
"I think it's been two and a half years since I last won one," Mr Carbonaro said.
He said he loved country race meets, in particular those held at Terang.
"I like the fact that everyone's down to earth," Mr Carbonaro said.
Meanwhile, the Terang RSL held a Concert on the Green to commemorate the return of servicemen and women after World War I a century ago.
Organisers Andrew and Megan Hyatt both served in Afghanistan and said the Welcome Home concert was a way to honour the Australian servicemen and women all these years later.
Mrs Hyatt said the event was a huge success. She said it was important young people ensured the RSL remained prosperous in years to come.
"It was a really good turnout - we had more than 100 people come."
She said it was great to see a number of young faces in the crowd.
"We definitely need to get young people involved (in RSL)," Mrs Hyatt said.
"If we don't it will die out."
Noorat's Dalvui Homestead was the perfect backdrop for Ozact's Much Ado About Nothing on Sunday, while many people took part in the Four Peaks Challenge.
This event, hosted by the Friends of Mt Leura, challenged participants to climb Mt Leura, Mt Sugarloaf, Mt Elephant and Mt Noorat on the same day.
