The Woodford export carved 122 to help the Cats post 9-409 against Carlton at Junction Oval on Saturday.
Geelong needs eight wickets to win on Sunday with Carlton needing 271 runs for victory.
Jackson faced 178 balls on his way to his third ton in his first top-grade season.
His innings included 10 fours and two sixes.
Fellow Warrnambool and District Cricket Association export Brody Couch has taken 1-27 off nine overs.
