Teenager Isaac Kenna will make his Hampden league senior debut against Camperdown at Leura Oval after crossing from Warrnambool and District league club Kolora-Noorat in the off-season.
Isaac is following his dad Ben's footsteps.
"They play different positions but when you look at them they play the same way," Terang Mortlake coach Michael Sargeant said.
"Ben played more predominantly in the back line and Isaac plays half-forward or wing."
Sargeant said Ben had built a strong football resume at both the Bloods and Power.
"Ben played 150 senior games for Terang and won three premierships with Terang and also won three in a row at the Power," he said.
Isaac, now 17, kicked 103 goals in a WDFNL under 14 season in 2016.
He trained with NAB League club Greater Western Victoria Rebels in the off-season.
MORE FOOTY:
Isaac is one of two first-gamers for the Bloods with Northern Territory recruit Jarryd Gardner also picked for the season-opener.
The Katherine product will play a half-forward-wing role too.
"He's got to get used to playing Victorian footy," Sargeant said.
"It will be a bit of an eye-opener for him early days but he's settled in well."
The returning Dylan Jones and Dominic Kenna were also selected in Terang Mortlake's best 21.
The Bloods will be without Chris Baxter and Sam McLean, who are both away, and Ben Finnerty who is recovering from a torn tendon in his finger.
Finnerty is out indefinitely.
Camperdown will unveil four debutants with the 2018 defeated grand finalist bringing in juniors Angus Gordon and Toby Kent and recruits PJ Manivong and Bayley Thompson.
Tim Fitzgerald has returned to the Magpies and will play too.
New co-coach Neville Swayn was pleased to pick Gordon and Kent.
"I am rapt they have put their hands up," he said.
"It means more depth as well."
