The outspoken Burnie-based candidate said she had to wait for the May federal election to be officially called to put up her signs and without a lot of money to campaign with this was her solution in the meantime.
Ms Lambie's presence at the William Street roundabout appeared to be well-received by the people who waved and tooted car horns.
"This is the only way I can get around because we've got no money and not a lot of feet on the ground and we're trying to get the maximum amount of traffic," Ms Lambie said.

"We're just letting people know we're running in the Senate because people are still struggling to understand how to vote...and they're asking me what part of Tasmania I'm standing in.
"We've got about three or four days back here on the Coast, so this is what I'll be doing in Burnie in the morning as well."
Recently Ms Lambie appeared on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here to keep herself visible.
