And under new mentor Leah Sinnott, the 19-year-old knows she is building the skills she needs to dominate the shooting circle.

"The way Leah has been helping me I'm hoping I can step up my game and become better," the Timboon Railway Shed Distillery employee said.

"She has had me focusing on moving around the ring and moving my body but the techniques she is getting me to use in the circle can also help me.

"Stuff like having my shoulders back and having strong core to be able to hold my ground and my opponent."

Another bonus for Rosolin is having the former Camperdown coach on the sideline to offer words of encouragement.

"It's good having her there as she can see everything and see the space that I can go into and with me knowing the basics it has really helped," she said.

"She really knows what she is talking about and is good working each part of the court."

Rosolin has shot 916 goals, including 35 last weekend against Panmure, in the past three seasons to be ranked in the top five shooters in the league.

She said Hayley Plozza was a handy player to have by her side in the shooting circle.

"This will be our third or fourth year together and we know how each other moves and where she wants it and where I want it," she said.

"She is always encouraging and allows me to pivot around and get where I need to be and I do the same."

One challange that is a daunting thought for the teenager is playing against former teammate and two-time reigning league best and fairest Cloe Marr, who moved to Nirranda in the off-season.

"It's definitely a scary thought as she reads the play well but I have trained with her so I think I have a bit of an advantage," she said. "But it's still going to be a lot harder to face her in a game."

Rosolin said Reina Hunt and new recruit Hollie Castledine were capable of filling the void left by Marr in the Demons' defence.

She said the side was eager to reach the grand final after two seasons bowing out at the final hurdle.
